"Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not then they are enemies to be feared."
A true Masterpeice by Francis Ford Coppola based on Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness'. This is a disturbing, intricate and at times, bizzare tale of a soldiers pshycological journey into the heart of his own darkness. Martin Sheen is superb and had a heart attack while shooting, Marlon Brando's Colonel Walter Kurtz, is one of the most unforgettable short roles of all time. Robert Duvall is brilliant and ended up with an Oscar nomination for his role. The Chopper ride attack scene set to Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" is one of the most surreal moments in film history.

Hi there! Just dropping in, you invited me as a Friend, and I wanted to say...well...that's cool! I feel bad now because I have not invited any friends. I suppose it's that old Woody Allen line...I don't want to belong to a club that would admit me!
Anyhow, if Apocalypse Now is on your 'Best' list, we should get along just fine!
Aaaaand, I'm definitely gonna snag Syriana next time, instead of skipping it for the latest shoot-'em-up schlockfest.
Cheers matey! I was hoping there was someone on here who blogged about flicks. I wonder what you thought of V For Vendetta?
